CRISTINA'S COMPANION CHALLENGE #2 : RECYCLING IS BEAUTY

Hi Bloggers,
Here is my second project for Crafting with Cristina companion challenge #2. This weeks project is a recycling project. We had to take something that we would normally throw away. I decide to use the packaging of the reveal light bulb that Cristina recommended to use to take pictures are Made by Momo's blog. Here is a before picture of the package...

I decide to make a gel pen holder because the one I had was falling apart. If you want to recreate my project make sure you measure your package because each one is a little different because their shape changes from being moved from the manufacture to the store. I recently purchased a new cricut cartridge, Yay! I purchased the Create a Critter cartridge and used it for this project. The next couple of projects would be with this cartridge because I love it so much. Hope you guys enjoy and thank you for taking the time to stop by.

The owl is on page 25 and is cut at 2 1/2". The phrase bubble is cut at 2" from page 28.

Ingredients:
* Card stock from recollections stack.
* Pattern paper from Me & My Big Idea stack.
* Create a Critter cartridge.
* ColorBox pigment stamp.
* Green, blue and black glitter gel pen.
* Reveal light bulb packaging.
* American Craft ribbon.
* Queen & co. grass green pearls.
* Jolee's by You dimensional flower.

See you soon. =}

NEW CRICUT IMAGIN MACHINE

Hi Everyone,
I just got back from having dinner with my family for my sister Amaris's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!) and I was looking at some youtube videos and saw that Robyn at the
PinkStamper posted a new video of her and Karlee at CHA. I don't know if I am late finding this news out but wanted to let some of you that weren't aware just like me know. Well, I need to start saving some money!. Cricut is coming out with a new machine called "Imagine". Is great, no more pattern paper, you make your own pattern. Take a look at this video
it will explain it better then I can. Enjoy.

MOMO'S TUESDAY CHALLENGE: EARING CONTAINER

Hi Blog Friends,
As some of you know Momo at Made by Momo has her Tuesday Challenge that will end tomorrow July 27th (My sister Amaris's birthday. Yay! lol) I made something for the challenge but never got around to putting the pictures up till today. The challenge is to make something,
"Super Girly". I decided to make something that wasn't a card. I Hope you guys like it. Also, don't be afraid to leave a comment I love to get them. =}

For the challenge I used a little plastic container that I bought at the dollar tree and modified it to be a earing container. I decide to make this to give to my little sister as part of her birthday gift. She can use it to put her little earings in since she has them all over the place in her room.
(Love you sis.)

I also created a small box to put the gift in. Thanks to CARDZ TV for her great video and helping me create the box.

I used the Mini Monograms cartridge to make the flower. The flower is on page 121. After I cut it out I inked around the edges and inside to give it a more true to life look. I used the technique Momo uses on her videos to put glitter on the middle circle. (I think is called the flower bud) I also used the Mini Monograms to make the letter "a" and the scallop. The leaf is from the Heritage cartridge on page 24 .

Ingredients:
* Card stock from recollections stack.
* Pattern paper from Me & My Big Idea stack.
* Heritage cartridge.
* Mini Monograms cartridge.

* ColorBox pigment stamp.
* Green glitter gel pen.

* Martha Stewart glitter.
* Small plastic container.
* Red tape.

Hope you guys enjoy. =}

GRAB & GO CARDS

Hi bloggers,
This week my boyfriend took me to Michael's (Sometimes better then Disney World, lol). I try not to go crazy. I need to learn to control myself when I'm in there. I finally got some stamps in the dollar section. I also got a black ColorBox pigment stamp pad. So far I really like it. I also got 12x12 card stock so I'll be making a box project after this one. So since I got a couple of goodies I decided to make my next project with what I just purchased. I decide to try the distressing techniques that I see crafters do, and guess what??? OMG! I L-O-V-E it! I hope you enjoy the project and let me know what I should get next at Michael's.

My "Grab and Go Cards". I call them grab and go because I want to have some little cards I can just grab and go and write any little message on it. They are great for thanks you cards, I miss you cards, just wanted to say hi cards. Almost anything. Let me know what you guys think.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!

Hi friends,
So tomorrow is my mom's birthday (YAY!). Since my days of buying my mom a card at the store are over I made my 1st birthday card for her. The card was inspired by her name, Rosa and her 3 daughters; my sister Amaris and my baby sister Lorraine (well, she's not a baby anymore lol) and I. The flower in the middle is for her name and the 3 candles represent us. I hope she loves it as much as I love her.

***Happy Birthday Mami! Make a wish!
***

I used the circle tag on page 123 with the blackout button. I don't have a lot of cartridges so I have to think outside the box. Did it work? Lol.

Ingredients:
* Card stock from recollections stack.
* Pattern paper from Me & My Big Idea stack.
* Celebrations cartridge.
*Gold ribbon. Sorry the tag form the ribbon came of so I don't know where it's from. I did buy it at Michael's at the dollar section.
* HP photo paper.
* Crystal fine Martha Stewart glitter.
* White gel pen.
* Sharpie extra fine point.

Till next time. =}

CRISTINA'S COMPANION CHALLENGE: FLIP, FLOP, SPINS OR POPS

Hi bloggers,
Hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend. Last night I finally finished Crafting with Cristina challenge. Her challenge is to create a card that flips, flops or pops. She wants crafters to create a card that does something a normal card does not do. For my card I created a card that flips. Let me know what you guys think. Please leave me a comment. As a new crafter the advice from people that have been doing this for many years makes me happy. Hope you guys enjoy.

Pull the right and left side and...

...(FLIP) "Happy Birthday"

The circle is HP photo paper. Since I am new to crafting I do not own any stamps yet. What I do is take photo paper and write a message on it. I LOVE how it turns out. The glossy look gives it a printed from the computer look.

Ingredients:
* Card stock from Cricut Rainbow & Recollections stack.
* Pattern paper from Me & My Big Idea stack.
* Celebrations cartridge.
* Pink gel pen.
* Lime green ribbon from Celebrate It.
* HP photo paper.
* Sharpie extra fine point.

Hope everyone has a perfect weekend. =}
