JOURNAL: OLD TO NEW

Hi Bloggers,
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I missed out on the Scrappy Moms Blog Hop this Saturday because I was celebrating my 2 year anniversary with my boyfriend and the last weekend before school starts. Even though I missed out on the blog hop I had a great weekend acting like a tourist in my own city.

Okay, now back to this journal; I had an old journal that I was not liking too much, so I decided to give it some life again hope you guys enjoy.

 The journal is covered with the same designer paper as my "Best Wishes" card. If you would like to take a look to see how the card looks CLICK HERE.

I used 3 grass green pearls from Queen & Co. I then glued a piece of gold ribbon form the dollar section at Micheal's. I also glued a multi-colored ribbon on top of the gold. The ribbon is from American Craft.

I wanted to personalize the journal since it is my new baby, lol. I used the mini monogram cartridge and cut out an "A" on a scallop in green paper from the Cricut card stock.

Ingredients:
* Designer paper from Me & My Big Idea stack.
* Green card stock from cricut rainbow stack.
* Gold ribbon from Michael's at the dollar section.
* Multi-Color ribbon from  American Craft.
* Queen & Co. lime green pearls.

BABY ALBUM: MOMO'S TUESDAY CHALLENGE

Hi My Blogger Friends,
Here's another Tuesday challenge for Made by Momo's blog. This Tuesday her theme is ""Babies, and Diapers, and Onesies, Oh My!!!". The lucky winner will receive a prize pack which will include paper, ribbon, embellishments, and more. For those of you that haven't done one of her challenges you can check out all her challenges HERE

For my challenge I decided to make a mini, mini album for my cousin.  She is expecting a baby boy soon. I am not good at making albums yet, that is why it's a mini album. The album only has about 4 spots to put pictures in.
Enjoy. =}

I used my new corner punch to cut the around edges on each corner. I also used white ribbon from the Dollar Tree to tie it together.

Isn't the bear so cute? He's cut out using the Create-A-Critter cartridge from page 27 cut out at 1 1/4". The pink nose is a recollection pearls. I love this!!! I think is going to be my new thing. To put pearls for noses.

I used buttons for the middle of the carriage. Sorry I forgot where the buttons are from. I bought them at Micheal's at the fabric section.

  The sentiment is from the Studio G stamp set. I did stitching around the circle with a white gel pen to match with the rest of the cut outs.

I haven't added much to the inside because I really need to think about what I am going to do. I might post the finish project when I am done to show you guys.

Oh, forgot the card measures 4"X12", so each square is 4"X4" and the carriage is from the Heritage cartridge and is cut at 2".
See you guys soon.

Ingredients:
* Create-A-Critter and Heritage cartridge.
* Navy blue card stock from recollection stack 4"X12".
* Baby blue card stockfrom recollection stack cut at 3 3/4"X3 3/4".
* Designer paper from Me & My Big Idea stack cut at 3 1/2"X3 1/2".

* Recollection pearl for the nose.
* 2 Baby blue buttons.
* Dollar Tree ribbon.
* Studio G "BABY" stamp.
* Black and white gel pen.
* Googly eyes.
* ColorBox ink in black.

CUTIE POODLE

Hi Bloggers,
Over the weekend I went to Michael's with my dad. I bought a couple of stamps, buttons and recollection pearls. Since I found so many cool things for a lot less I thought I should share my project with you. Everything I purchased was less then $2.00 (YAY! lol). Hope you guys like the card.

 I use recollection card stock for the base of the card and the first dark pink layer.

 The poodle was cut out from the Create-A-Critter cartridge on page 36. Then I used a light pink nose from the recollection pearls. I love how it turned out. Super cute!!!

 The buttons are from Making Memories in rouge. The ribbon is from American Craft.

I love this stamp "Cutie" from Imaginisce. I am not good at stamping, I always make mistakes. Since I couldn't get it right or the type of ink takes too long to dry I used the distress look on it. Hope you guys like it. I also used a Studio18 gem in silver for the middle of the flower.

Ingredients:
* Create-A-Critter cartridge.
* Light pink card stock from recollection stack cut at 8"X4".
* Dark pink recollection card stock cut at 3 3/4"X3 3/3".
* Recollection pearl for the nose.
* Making Memories buttons in rouge.
* American Craft ribbon.
* Silver Studio18 gem.
* Black and white gel pen.
* Googly eyes.

See you soon. =}

1000 SHEETS FOR A THOUSAND SHEETS...

Just wanted to share this blog with you guys so you guys can share on the fun. All this information is straight from the blog. Please make sure you visit the blog. Enjoy =}

Today is a special day here at the ol' A thousand sheets of paper blog. No, it's not quite the one year anniversary, as that was on July 16th. Instead I thought it would be fun to combine that celebration with another crazy milestone that I've been keeping track of and finally hit this past week... you see, since I started making cards and posting them here I've been keeping track of the number of different sheets of pattern paper that I cut into for my cards just to see how long it would take to get to 1000. I'm excited to say that it only took a couple weeks over my year anniversary to get there! I told you this was crazy! LOL!

Crazy or not though, I'm in the mood to celebrate (and clear out some paper) so I've got A THOUSAND 6x6 sheets of paper that I'm giving away! Wanna see what 1000 sheets of paper looks like? Take a look-see...

"SMILE": CHALLENGE ME MONDAY #22

Hi Bloggers,
I'm working hard to do a lot of projects before my semester starts and I have less time on my hands. Before I start letting you know about the challenge I want to tell you a cute story. When I got home from work I started working on this challenge. When I was done my boyfriend got home and I started cooking dinner. While he was fixing up the salad I asked him, "Hey babe want to see the card I just made?" long story short he says, "That's really cute babe. Is that for Momo's blog?" I kind of laughed inside and said no babe it's for my blog and for a different challenge. Sometimes we think that our loved ones don't pay attention to what we do, but I was so wrong. Made me love him even more.

Okay, now back to business, lol. Today I created a project for Fantabulous Cricut's blog. This Monday our challenge is to create a project for National "Smile" Week. When creating the project the rules are to use the word "SMILE" and to use the cricut to cut an image out. After finishing the project, I don't know, but I think that I am getting the hang of this. Hope you guys enjoy.

Just looking how silly the flower looks with it's googly eyes can make anyone SMILE or laugh. lol

The yellow frame is popped up with foam tape. The light green grass is only glued in the middle and the sides lifted up.

The shadow layer on this flower is one piece. I decide to cut the head and foam tape it on to the side to make it look even sillier.

The heart is glittered using a two way zig pen.

Ingredients:
* Blue card stock from cricut's card stock stack cut at 8 1/2"X5 1/2".
* Yellow pattern paper from DCWV Citrus stack cut at 4"X5 1/4" and the frame is an 1" around.
* Baby blue card stock from cricut's card stack cut at 2 1/4"X3 1/2" .
* Create a Critter cartridge: Flower from page 44 and Smile phrase from page 45.

* Crystal fine Martha Stewart glitter.
* Black and white gel pen.
* 3 Baby blue buttons.

See you soon. =}
